Responsibilities
Scaffolding Inspector responsibilities :
- Responsible about Inspection & Safety . The Inspector will inspect scaffolding before first use, after alterations, after adverse weather, and at regular intervals.
- Ensure load limits are clearly displayed and not exceeded .
- Ensure scaffolding complies with local safety regulations and codes.
- Confirm correct use of materials and approved components
- Complete and maintain scaffold inspection reports, tags, and logs .
- Issue scaffold handover certificates where required.
- Monitor environmental factors such as wind, rain, or ground conditions
- Advise workers on safe access and usage procedures.
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings .
- Provide guidance on safe scaffold use and Assist in training workers to recognize scaffold hazards
- Investigate scaffold-related incidents or near misses .
- Recommend improvements to inspection procedures and safety controls.
Qualifications
- A full time Diploma or Degree in ITI / Engineering.
- Certificate in Scaffolding Inspector/ Diploma in Scaffolding Inspector
- 5 years and above experience in the relevant field.
