• Ensure correct charging of iron ore, coke, and fluxes (limestone/dolomite) to maintain proper burden distribution and permeability.
• Control furnace parameters such as blast temperature, pressure, oxygen enrichment, fuel rate, and top gas to achieve stable and efficient operation.
•Optimize coke and auxiliary fuel (PCI, natural gas, oil) consumption to reduce cost and improve productivity.
• Manage slag chemistry to remove impurities from hot metal and ensure smooth tapping and furnace protection.
•Monitor critical equipment such as tuyeres , stoves, charging system, cooling system, and refractories to prevent breakdowns and ensure long furnace life.

• Reclaiming materials from stockyards using reclaimers and feeding them to downstream units like sinter plant, coke ovens, and blast furnace as per production requirements.
• Proper stacking of materials in stockyards using stackers, ensuring segregation by grade, size, and quality to avoid contamination.
• Ensure correct blending, sizing, and screening of raw materials to meet process and quality specifications.
• Maintain optimal stock levels, monitor consumption rates, and ensure uninterrupted supply to production units.
