India Celebrates 76th Republic Day 2025

India celebrates 76th Republic Day on 26th January of 2025. Republic Day marks the adoption of India’s constitution and the country’s transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. The celebrations, inaugurated with a grand parade, are held in the capital, from Raisina Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan, along the Kartavya Path, past India Gate, and onto the historic Red Fort. Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto is attended as the chief guest of 76th Republic day. The theme of 76th Republic day “Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi“.

‘SANJAY’ automated battlefield surveillance system launched for Indian Army.

The ‘SANJAY’ system was launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This Battlefield Surveillance System (BSS) is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian Army. SANJAY is an automated system that processes inputs from various battlefield sensors. The system integrates ground and aerial battlefield sensors to create a comprehensive surveillance picture. The system will be inducted to all operational brigades, divisions and corps of the Army. Ministry of Defence has been declared 2025 as a ‘Year of Reforms’. SANJAY system has been indigenously developed by the Indian Army and Bharat Electronics Limited.

The ISRO is set to mark milestone with its 100th launch.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is gearing up to mark milestone with its 100th launch mission, Which is scheduled for January 29, 2025. GSLV-F15 mission will deploy the NVS-02 satellite from the second launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre. NVS-02 satellite was designed, developed, and integrated at the U R Satellite Centre (URSC) with other satellite-based work centres. Satellites NVS-01 through NVS-05 are intended to enhance the NavIC base layer constellation with improved features for ensuring service continuity.

INS Sarvekshak has concluded a major hydrographic survey in Mauritius.

INS Sarvekshak completed the final phase of the hydrographic survey of Mauritius covering an extensive area of over 25,000 sq. nautical miles. Shri Anurag Srivastava, Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius, formally handed over fair sheet of the hydrographic survey, along with newly prepared nautical charts and survey equipment to Mr. Dharambeer Gokhool (Grand Commander of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean). It also aligns with India’s SAGAR initiative, which focuses on regional security and growth.

Himachal Pradesh celebrate statehood day on 25th January 2025.

American, Madison Keys won her maiden Grand Slam ‘Australian Open 2025’.

American Tennis star Madison Keys has won a Grand Slam title at Australia Open 2025. Madison beat two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 in a cracking big-hitting finale. Madison Keys is one of the youngest-ever match-winner on the WTA Tour at the age of 14. The 19th seeded Madison Keys defeated Sabalenka to win her maiden Grand Slam title in her second final after eight years.

Trump Administration Officially rename “Gulf of Mexico” as “Gulf of America”

The Trump administration’s Interior Department said officially changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and the Alaskan peak Denali to Mount McKinley. Mount McKinley, in honor of former U.S. President William McKinley, but was renamed Denali in the Koyukon Indigenous language in 1975 at the state’s request. Mexico, U.S. has a long coastline circling the body of water like US, the Gulf of Mexico name is internationally recognized and has been used as a maritime navigational reference going back hundreds of years.

iSNR launched to set new global standards for sustainability in sustainable Rubber.

Indian Sustainable Natural Rubber (iSNR) has launched an initiative that aligns with globally accepted sustainability principles. This initiative was officially launched today in Kottayam, Kerala. M. Vasanthagesan, Executive Director of the Rubber Board has stated on this occasion, Sustainability is no longer a choice but an imperative in global trade. The standard is in line with the European Union Deforestation Regulation.
