The Indian Army inaugurated two newly constructed bailey bridges over the Shyok River. The bridges, located near Shatse Taknak in the Diskit sub-division of Leh, were inaugurated by Brigadier V S Salaria, Commander of the Siachen Brigade, Brigadier V S Salaria and some other high profile persons. The bridges will enhance connectivity between the Shyok and Nubra valleys in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The two bridges are 50 feet wide and 100 feet in length and it will help to reduce travel distance by approximately 40 km and cut travel time by around two hours for the farthest villages in Nubra and Shyok valleys.

Trump’s USA confirms exit from OECD Global tax deal.

United States’ decided to withdraw from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Global Tax Deal, included a minimum 15% corporate tax. The dicision sent shockwaves through the global tax community, further, this move could significantly disrupt international tax cooperation and hinder ongoing global tax reforms. The US withdrawal raises key questions about the future of tax agreements and create uncertainty for developing countries like India.

Michael Clarke inducted into Australian Hall of Fame as 64th member.

Former Australian captain Michael Clarke became the 64th member of Australian cricket’s Hall of Fame. Making his first-class debut for New South Wales at just 17. Clarke has played 115 Tests for Australia in which he scored 8643 runs at an average of 49.10, in 245 ODIs he scored 7981 runs at an average of 44.58 and in 34 T20Is he scored 488 runs at 21.21. Under Clarke’s leadership, Australia won the 2015 World Cup and also won the famous 2013/14 Ashes.

Govt. of India hikes MSP on jute by 315 rupees.

The GOI has increased the minimum support price for raw jute by Rs 315, setting it at Rs 5,650 per quintal for the 2025-26 marketing season. This move, is expected to provide farmers a return of 66.8 per cent over the all India weighted average cost of production. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal spoke about India’s low jute production. He emphasised that production ultimately depends on farmers and promise 66.8% returns for farmer. Since 2014-15, the MSP for raw jute has increased by 2.35 times.

Sarla Aviation has unveiled electric flying taxi (eVTOL), Shunya.

The Bengaluru-based, Nikhil kamath backed a new player in urban air mobility, introduced its innovative electric flying taxi, Shunya, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The startup revealed plans to bring electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles to the skies by 2028. The prototype is designed for short-distance commutes, capable of covering 20-30 km at speeds up to 250 km/h. With a capacity to carry six passengers and a maximum payload of 680 kg.
